FAQ’s for INDIVIDUAL USERS:

1. Is Registration compulsory to make a Purchase?
Ans: Yes.

2. How do I register?
Ans: Click on the link provided below the My Login Console on the Home Page and fill in the details in the Form provided. After this click on the Submit button provided and wait for the e-mail to be sent to the e-mail i.d. provided. Click on the link in the e-mail and your registration will be completed.

3. Can I change my password and login?
Ans: Your login is your e-mail i.d. and cannot be changed unless you register afresh. Password can be changed by going to the edit option in My Account after login. You can change password as often as you like.

4. If I forget my password what do I do?
Ans: Click on the Forgot Pasword option in My Login and the password will be automatically sent to your e-mail i.d.

5. Do I need to register to browse the site?
Ans: No. You only need to register to purchase the books.

6. If I want the books to be delivered to another address – can I do this?
Ans: Yes. Fill in the address in the gift column.

7. How will my books be delivered?
Ans: Normally by courier. In delivery areas not serviced by couriers - the deliveries will be done by Registered Post or Under Certificate of Posting.

8. Do I have to pay courier charges?
Ans: Wherever customer is liable to pay courier charges it will be mentioned separately in the Shopping Cart.

9. Can I have Cash on Delivery option?
Ans: Only where indicated. Currently the option is available only in Mumbai City for selected titles.

10. Can I pay by Cheque?
Ans: Only by Mumbai payable cheque or Demand Draft. Delivery will be made after the Cheque clears. Outstation cheques will not be acceptedand will not be returned to sender.

11. Can I get delivery outside India?
Ans: Only for books permitted for sale outside India by the Publisher. International Courier charges will apply and IBD reserves the right to decline orders requiring delivery outside India or to areas within India not serviced by couriers.

12. Can I pay by Debit Card?
Ans: No. Only Credit Cards are accepted by the payment gateway apart from COD and Cheque payment.

13. Which Credit Cards are accepted?
Ans: Any VISA or MASTERCARD will be accepted. American Express Card holders will have to send their card details by e-mail to websales@ibd.co.in to make their purchases.

14. Is the payment gateway secure?
Ans: Yes. The payment gateway is secure and you may safely enter Credit Card details.

15. If my book arrives in damaged condition what do I do?
Ans: The damaged book will have to be returned to IBD and a repalcement will be sent FOC. IBD reserves the right to return the book if damage is of a trivial nature.

16. Under what circumstances can I obtain a refund for my Purchase?
Ans: No refunds will be given. In exceptional circumstances the book may be replaced by IBD in cases of damage as a goodwill gesture. As an alternative a special discount may be offered on the next purchase.

17. In case of complaints who do I write to?
Ans: All complaints may be addressed to websales@ibd.co.in. You may contact IBD on phone and we will be glad to attend to your problems.

18. What is the normal delivery period for Books?
Ans: If the Title ordered is in stock then delivery will be within 3 working days. If out of stock then delivery will be within 10 working days for books published in India and upto 30 working days for books published outside India.

19. Can I order any quantity I need?
Ans: Yes. But supply will be subject to availability.

20. Can I order books on credit?
Ans: Not as a rule. Credit enquiries will have to be processed and an e-mail or letter will have to be sent for the purpose.

21. How does a PRE-ORDER work?
Ans: When a title which is yet to be released is posted on the website, customers may pre-order to ensure their copy. Payment will be received by IBD in advance in all such cases. The book/s will be couriered on a priority basis to customers who have pre-ordered.

22. What is the normal period for commencement of Magazine subscriptions?
Ans: In case of imported magazines the subscriptions will commence from the third issue after receipt of the subscription amount. Thus a monthly magazine may take upto three months to commence the subscription. In case of Indian magazines the subscription will normally commence from the next issue after receipt of the subscription amount.

1. How can I visit the Corporate Special page meant for me?
Ans: First obtain the special password and login i.d. meant for that Page. You may then access the page directly from the My Login console or through the Corporate Special Pages panel on the Home Page.

2. Can I browse the Corporate Special Pages using only my personal i.d. & password?
Ans: No. You need to login using the specific corporate login i.d. and password given to you. Only then will you be able to see the contents of the page.

3. Can I use the same password and login i.d. to visit all the Corporate Pages?
Ans: No. Each Page has a unique Company Login & Password.

4. If Rupee Price is not indicated against the book I wish to buy from the Special Page, how will I pay for the book?
Ans: Payment will be collected directly from the sponsoring Company after verifying the credentials of the purchaser.

5. To obtain books from the Special Pages is it necessary to register with my personal details?
Ans: Yes. This is necessary as we will then be able to verify that you qualify for the Special Discounts offered. We will also have the address details to which we can send the selected titles.

6. Where can I obtain all the details of the schemes available to mefor the Special Pages I visit?
Ans: These will be mentioned on the Special Page itself. Otherwise these will have to be obtained directly from the sponsoring company’s website, intranet or other source.
